Explanation:

In this privacy policy we inform you which personal data we collect in the neuroCademy Learning Management System (“LMS”) and on the website lms.neurocademy.com and for what purposes we process this data. By using the LMS, website or submitting your contact details to receive communications from us, you agree to the terms and conditions of this privacy policy.

  1. Subject of data protection

neuroCare Group Netherlands B.V and all other neuroCare Group companies (hereinafter “we”, “us”, “our”) would like to provide you with relevant information about trade fairs, seminars, online trainings, events, newsletters, the latest publications and news, reference projects, market observations and advertising measures regarding our products and services (hereinafter “marketing information”).

 

  1. Processing of personal data

When you sign up, register or purchase a course or training in the LMS or on the website lms.neurocademy.com, we collect your contact information to be able to service your order and offer you additional products. We also collect the details of the organisation you are affiliated with (just name or address if you provide it as this is optional). We also collect your profession and/or education (e.g., psychologist, psychiatrist, student or researcher) for market research purposes as well as to restrict access to courses and trainings to users with the relevant professional backgrounds.

We collect your test or quiz scores (e.g., how successful you were at passing or not passing a particular test or quiz throughout the course) to issue, confirm, withhold or withdraw the relevant training certificates and for our own research.

If you submit an enquiry via our general enquiry form, we will collect the information you provide plus your contact details. If you submit a review, feedback or comment on an enquiry we collect these details also attributed to your user profile or contact details provided at the same time.

We collect your responses, questions  and user data if you make a post via the LMS forum. Please note that such posts become public after you post them. Your post can be seen by anyone. This includes your username, any information you share in the form and any information in your public profile in the LMS. We can provide access or send such information to anyone in search results or through tools and APIs.

We collect information about how you use the LMS or the website lms.neurocademy.com, such as the types of content you view or engage with, the features you use or the actions you take.

We will ensure that the personal data you provide when requesting marketing information (e. g. your e-mail address or telephone number) will only be processed for the marketing purposes described in Article 2 of this Privacy Policy.

The legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. We cannot send you any marketing information without your consent to use the personal data that you provided. This does not apply to data collected in the course of the initiation or fulfilment of a contract, the storage of which is regulated by law.

If only data of legal persons is processed, such as name, legal form or contact data of legal persons, neither the BDSG nor the EU-DSGVO applies.

 

  1. Transmission of personal data

Currently, we do not use external contract data processors. In the future, we may work with third-party partners who help us provide and improve the LMS and the trainings offered on the LMS. We may provide your information to such third-party partners for performing business functions or collecting information on our behalf.

 

  1. Deletion of personal data

As soon as your personal data is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected or used in accordance with the above sections, we will delete or make this data anonymous.

 

  1.  Your rights

With regard to the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights: You have a right of access your personal data processed by us, the right to correct your personal data, the right to delete your personal data, the right to restrict the processing of your personal data and the right to data transferability with regard to your personal data. In addition, you can file a complaint with your competent supervisory authority at any time.

If the processing of your personal data is based on Art. 6 No. 1 letter f) or if the processing serves the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object to the processing. Please send an e-mail to widerspruch@neurocaregroup.com

Our marketing information is sent via MailChimp. For this purpose your personal data (e. g. your e-mail address or your name) will be transmitted to MailChimp or evaluated. If you opt in for a newsletter upon registration, your data will be added to our  mailing lists under MailChimp. You can also opt in for our newsletter directly via a mailchimp pop-up notification.

Our website www.neurocaregroup.com uses Google Universal Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Universal Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there to improve our accessibility on the Internet. We use Google Analytics with an IP anonymization feature on our website. In doing so, Google abbreviates and thereby anonymizes your IP address before transferring it from member states of the European Union or signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Google will use this information to evaluate your usage of our site, to compile reports on website activity for us, and to provide other services related to website- and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or to the extent this data is processed by third parties on Google´s behalf.

Google states that it will in never associate your IP address with other data held by Google. You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting the settings on your browser software accordingly. You should be aware, however, that by doing so you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of our website.

Google also offers a disabling option for the most common browsers, thus providing you with greater control over the data which is collected and processed by Google. If you enable this option, no information regarding your website visit is transmitted to Google Analytics. However, the activation does not prevent the transmission of information to us or to any other web analytics services we may use.
