Marleen graduated from the Free University of Amsterdam in 2007 with a Master’s degree in clinical psychology. Her experience mainly consists of training professionals in mental health care, taking and interpreting assessments and giving psychotherapy to people with psychological, social-emotional and behavioural problems. As a co-author she wrote, in collaboration with Prof. Dr. A.J.F.M. Kerkhof, a self-help book on brooding: “brooding, a step-by-step method to reduce brooding”.

Currently, Marleen trains other professionals in clinics around the world in innovative neuromodulation techniques, such as repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), (Q) EEG informed neurofeedback, Slow Cortical Potential (SCP) neurofeedback, sleep assessment and QEEG sampling and interpretation.

She specializes in the treatment of AD (H) D, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, sleep problems, PTSD, behavioural problems and anxiety disorders in adults and children using neurofeedback therapy, parent guidance, rTMS, sleep assessment, EMDR and psychotherapy.

Her passion lies in working with people, both adults and children. Marleen likes to put people at ease, by making contact in an empathic way and acknowledging their needs, in order to create the optimal treatment or training environment.

She currently holds the position of Global Trainer and trains professionals from (nCG) clinics worldwide. She also supports and presents courses in neuroCademy from the neuroCare Group.
